Black Space Odyssey drummer Op Grime is dropped a beauty with his latest project Pork Chops. The collection takes cuts from classic vinyl and blends those warm sounds with live drums and bass. The outcome is a beautiful and raw trip. This project is perfect for rooftop j’s or a warm city bike cruise. I found myself getting lost in the sound, really letting my mind take control. It is like an electric soul tape demonstrating a wide field of emotion and sound. From Neon Monorail‘s vibey sci-fi bounce to Primo Deluxe‘s nu jazz sway, the whole album is an epic journey. The project has 8-tracks of groove to enjoy and you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t. You can catch the man setting the beat for Black Space Odyssey and look out for more coming soon.
